8.4 yesterday in 1:21 with a 144 average HR, mellow trotting around checking out what the town of Melrose has to offer near the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital area. Lots of smaller mom and pop places mixed in with the usual big names, a small and quaint district with some very impressive properties surrounding them. Sleepy folks meeting for coffee and taking the trash to the curb make for a quiet journey.
Felt good the entire run, took it easy…all VFF’d. They didn’t bother me too much, I was glad I had them, my skin needed a break. Enjoying the adaptation process…I try to relate that idea to people when they immediately decide they could never run barefoot or in minimally supportive footwear. Our bodies can handle just about anything we throw towards them, given a little time. Tiny evolutions.
